But more about golf. As we mentioned earlier, the closest course was the Burleigh Golf Course, just up the coast on Albion Avenue, Miami. Reputed to be The Best Members Golf Course on the Gold Coast, this is an 18 hole Championship golf course featuring a Woodland Forest front nine and a Sandbelt Heath back nine. The onsite China Garden Restaurant is an excellent place to unwind and recap the days highlights.
Other courses nearby include the Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Course, Robina and Lakelands. You can expect to be in the car for no more than 10 minutes each way with these courses, and back in time for a relaxing spa at the Pacific Regis.
A little further out is Sanctuary Cove — The Palms, a par 70 course, also The Glades Golf Club by Greg Norman, one of the best public courses in Australia, and Sanctuary Cove — The Pines, an Arnold Palmer course, one that will present more of a challenge with a par 72. These courses require about a 30 minute commute, but the further out you go the more picturesque it gets.
